Starting base pay: $51,000
plus degree pay
plus the below listed benefits:

• Educational Incentive Pay: up to $600per year, per certificate-Basic, General, Intermediate, Advanced, Senior & Instructor Certificates; $900 per year for Paramedic & Bilingual-up to $5,400 annually for all listed.
• Degree Pay: $600, $1,200, $ 1,800
  
  Annually for Associates, Bachelor's &Master's Respectively.
• Degree Holiday Pay Starting at $2,353 (for 12 holidays)

• Clothing Allowance- $480.00 for first full year and $1,980.00 per year thereafter.

Certified Officers: $51,000 - $63,000 depending on experience, certifications, education, and qualifications.

Applicants for entry level Police Officer positions must meet the following criteria established by the State of Arkansas Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Training, the State of Arkansas Civil Service Statute, and the Benton Civil Service Commission.

• An applicant must be at least 20years of age.
• An applicant must have graduated from a standard high school or must have a high school equivalency; i.e., General Education Diploma (GED).
• An applicant must have no felony convictions.
• A complete background investigation will be conducted on every applicant.
• An applicant will be required to pass a basic physical agility test, drug test, Computer Voice Stress Analyzer, medical and psychological examination.
