Lab Technician - Urology Practice

• Hours are 8:00-5:00pm, Monday-Friday
• This position is based within Jefferson Regional Practice Management
• In this unique setting, daily interactions with a diverse clientele, including hospital staff, physicians, and visitors, are expected.

A lab technician within clinic setting is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of collecting, preparing, ordering, and resulting all lab specimens.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Technical Diploma:
  In Phlebotomy, medical laboratory, or other related field preferred.
• · One (1) year lab experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of EMR or lab management systems helpful.
• Phlebotomy Certification preferred.
• Knowledge of lab guidelines such as CLIA, quality control process tub collection order, dirty/clean, etc.
• Basic computer, phone, email, and business office equipment knowledge.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical and time management skills
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Able to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology.
• This position is safety sensitive.
