Job TitleCNC Set-Up I (Multiple Shifts Available)
Responsible for performing basic CNC Machine set-up and operation by loading preset CNC programs, making minor approved adjustments, and producing acceptable product in accordance with work instructions, quality requirements, and established manufacturing processes.

Roles & Reponsibilities:

Perform basic CNC machine set-up function by loading preset CNC programs and making minor, approved adjustments to support proper machine operation.

Operate CNC manufacturing equipment to produce acceptable product according to work instructions, set-up documentation, safety procedures, and quality requirements.

Perform basic in-process inspection using established methods; record results and notify appropriate personnel of defects, dimensional concerns, or process deviations.

Perform basic machine adjustments such as off-sets or taper adjustments and basic preventative maintenance such as changing coolants, filters, lubricants, and other routine machine-care items.

Stack and transport product via hand-truck, pallet jack, forklift, crane, or hoist.

Clean work area, machines, tools and equipment.

Job Requirements:

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required

Experience:

One (1) year relevant experience

Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Ability to understand and act on verbal and written instructions

Intermediate math (algebra, geometry) and computer skills

Ability to learn and understand basic CNC program structure, G and M code concepts, and CAD/CAM outputs used in established production processes

Ability to understand and use Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and Statistical Process Control (SPC)
Must exhibit attention to detail as well as excellent listening skills

Must be able to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds

Target Hiring Range: 19.50 - 21.00
