Join our team and make a meaningful impact inpatient care every day. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Wound Care LPN who is dedicated to delivering high-quality care and improving patient outcomes. You will help the RN's with providing comprehensive nursing care, including but not limited to advanced wound care for patients across the lifespan, as well as other clinical activities that support safe, high-quality patient care.

This role follows all WHC policies and procedures, established care protocols, and Diversified Clinical Services Practice Guidelines, working in collaboration with physicians and under the direction of a Registered Nurse when applicable.

How you'll contribute
  • Contributes to the assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis by an RN.
  • Performs plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care; may administer medication.
  • Documents patient care provided.
  • Assists RN with development of plan of care.
  • Assist patients with daily living activities including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Monitors, documents, and communicates patient status and responses to interventions with RN, physician, patient, and family.
  • Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
  • Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
  • Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts/units as needed.
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What we're looking for:
  • Education:

    Associate's Degree Required
  • License:
    Current LPN to practice in the state.
  • Required Skills:

    Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • Certifications:

    BCLS or within one week of hire/transfer
  • Collaborates with RNs and Providers.
  • Provides input into development and maintenance of the nursing care plan.
  • Makes and documents nursing observations.
  • At least 1 year in Wound Care experience required
