Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Wound Care
Job Type: Full Time |
Schedule:
8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Contribute to patient assessment by collecting data for RN analysis.
- Perform plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care; may administer medication.
- Document patient care and assist RN in development of the plan of care.
- Assist patients with daily living activities: personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Monitor, document, and communicate patient status and responses to interventions with RN, physician, patient, and family.
- Advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient.
- Participate in performance improvement and continuing education.
- Provide quality patient care and work flexible shifts/units as needed.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Associate’s Degree – Required.
- Current LPN license in the state.
- At least 1 year of wound care experience.
- Critical‑thinking skills, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
- Certification: BCLS or receive within one week of hire/transfer.
- Collaborate with RNs and providers, input into development and maintenance of nursing care plan, make and document nursing observations.
