Job Description
This position provides administrative third‑party training for the Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Training group, following state regulations set by the State of Colorado, Department of Revenue, Division of Motor Vehicles, CDL Compliance Office. The instructor will train students in all areas of trucking/driving, maintain knowledge of state regulations regarding CMV operation, and work closely with CDL testers to evaluate skill level and test readiness.
Responsibilities- Train students in all aspects of trucking/driving.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of state CMV regulations.
- Coordinate with CDL testers and determine student skill level and test readiness.
- Work weekdays and weekends to provide classes.
- Use company vehicle for business travel; maintain MVR and insurance requirements.
- Hold a Class A CDL with all required endorsements.
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience operating a CMV requiring a CDL of the same or higher class, or two years as a BTW CMV instructor.
- Valid and non‑expired DOT Medical Card/Certification.
- Pass an MVR and be insurable under company insurance.
- Pass required random 11‑panel drug screens; pre‑employment physical examination.
- Ability to stand on pavement for extended periods and instruct in inclement weather.
- Ability to bend and pick up traffic cones.
- Demonstrate basic to intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, specialized software for classroom and driving simulation).
- At least two (2) years of experience as a CDL instructor or related teaching experience.
- Colorado State‑Certified CDL Instructor.

- Hourly rate:
Minimum $34.57. - Part‑time employees receive benefits based on hours worked.
