This position is designated as safety/security sensitive and is subject to pre-employment, reasonable suspicion and random drug and alcohol screening.
This position is responsible to perform general outside maintenance duties including mowing, weed eating and watering throughout the County's properties; he/she is responsible for safely driving and operating County equipment used in road maintenance and clearing of county road rights-of-way. This position is designated as a safety sensitive position as defined by Act 593 of 2017. An essential function of the position is the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEHigh school or GED, plus specialized schooling and/or on the job education in a specific skill area; e.g., mowing equipment, road clearing equipment operation, etc., plus 12 to 18 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS- Must have or be able to immediately obtain a valid Arkansas Driver's License.
- Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre-employment job-related physical and traffic offense check.
- This position is safety-sensitive and is subject to random drug and alcohol testing.
