Staff Accountant at Runway

Staff Accountant

Runway is seeking a skilled, highly motivated and entrepreneurial individual to join the team as a Staff Accountant. The ideal teammate will have the demonstrated ability to analyze and process complex data. This is a salary-exempt, in-office position.

• Reconcile general ledger and bank accounts
• Maintain cash balances and oversee cash activity, including coordinating with various associates to ensure timely payment and high-quality input to accounting software
• Track accounts payable invoices that require use tax or rebates. File use tax/rebate reports with the State
• Post receipts to tenant ledgers
• Support associates with Month/Quarter/Year End closing tasks and assist in preparation of financial statements and related schedules
• Coordinate with other staff to provide support for other finance and accounting projects
• Track business activities and supporting information
• Provide schedules and information to other departments as needed
• Analyze and prepare recommendations to management on process improvement
• Perform other duties as required and necessary to accomplish goals and objectives

• Bachelors' degree in accounting or related field OR 5 years' accounting experience
• Strong technical skills, including knowledge and use of Accounting Software, proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Proficient in use of Word, Excel, Access and Outlook Microsoft Office applications
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Must be deadline focused and self-driven
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high volume team environment.
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to maintain confidential information

• Proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues before they escalate.

  Comfortable performing tasks requiring repetitive movements.

  Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing, as well as sight, to interact with co-workers, vendors, and guests effectively and to perform computer-based tasks
