Role summary
Inventory Accounting Center of Excellence (COE) is hiring a Senior Manager, Record to Report to lead strategic projects and transformation initiatives impacting inventory accounting processes across Walmart North America. This role will partner with Finance, Supply Chain, and Technology teams to deliver large-scale system implementations, process improvements, and business transformation efforts.
About the teamThe Inventory Accounting Center of Excellence (COE) ensures financial accuracy, inventory reporting, and internal controls across Walmart North America. This team collaborates with Controllership, Supply Chain, Merch Finance, Operations, and Technology to manage inventory accounting processes, support compliance, and resolve complex inventory matters. It drives automation and process improvements to enhance financial oversight and operational efficiency. Focused on cross‑functional partnership and continuous improvement, the team maintains robust financial controls and delivers accurate, timely reporting that supports Walmart’s business objectives.
Whatyou’ll do
- Lead large‑scale transformation initiatives, system implementations, and process improvement projects impacting inventory accounting.
- Manage project plans, timelines, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communications across multiple work streams.
- Partner with Technology, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to define business requirements and support solution design.
- Drive change management activities and ensure successful adoption of new processes and systems.
- Support inventory accounting controls and compliance requirements throughout project execution.
- Identify opportunities for automation, reporting enhancements, and process standardization.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field and 4 years of experience in accounting, finance, or related field.
- 2 years of supervisory experience OR 2 years of experience leading and completing cross‑functional projects.
- A growth and development mindset—you challenge legacy practices and introduce new ways of working.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and drive issue resolution across complex processes.
- Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Inventory accounting, supply chain, or public accounting experience preferred.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include stock.
