Controller, Accounting, Financial Compliance

Our client is seeking an experienced Controller to lead day-to-day accounting operations and provide strategic financial leadership within a fast-paced, growing organization. This is a hands‑on role for an accounting professional who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys building processes, strengthening financial controls, and partnering with executive leadership.

The Controller will oversee the company's accounting function, ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, maintain compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements, and lead a small accounting team. This individual will also play a key role in improving financial processes, supporting audits, and providing insights that help drive business decisions.

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• Oversee all day‑to‑day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.
• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Partner with executive leadership on budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial planning.
• Coordinate annual audits and serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors.
• Support tax compliance activities and collaborate with external tax advisors as needed.
• Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide recommendations to improve business results.
• Monitor financial controls and ensure compliance with regulatory and reporting requirements.
• Drive process improvements and optimize the use of financial systems and ERP platforms.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team while fostering a collaborative and high‑performing environment.
• Partner cross‑functionally to support strategic initiatives and operational improvements.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
• CPA required.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
• 5+ years of accounting leadership or management experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, and audit processes.
• Experience with ERP systems;
  Net Suite experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
