The Senior Manager, Accounts Receivable leads the end-to-end execution of AR operations across Health & Wellness (H&W), including Optical and Pharmacy. This role is responsible for billing, refunds, reconciliations, compliance, and cash application processes that directly impact financial accuracy and regulatory adherence. The position blends strategic leadership with hands‑on operational oversight, ensuring the integrity of financial data across multiple subledgers while driving process improvements, automation, and cross‑functional alignment.

About the Team

The H&W Accounts Receivable team manages a highly complex financial ecosystem supporting Optical, Pharmacy, and related business channels across the U.S. and Canada. The team is responsible for billing, refund processing, compliance controls, reconciliations, and unapplied cash management.

Operating in a fast‑paced, high‑risk environment, the team ensures:

  • Accurate financial reporting and GL integrity
  • Compliance with regulatory requirements (including HIPAA controls)
  • Timely resolution of aged items and discrepancies
  • Continuous improvement through automation and AI‑driven solutions

What You’ll Do

  • Lead end‑to‑end Accounts Receivable operations across Health & Wellness, including billing, refunds, cash application, and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Oversee monthly billing and payment processes (Optical, Pharmacy, credit card fees), ensuring proper system recording and alignment across SAP, and subledgers.
  • Direct refund processing and enforce critical compliance controls, including HIPAA‑driven validations, to mitigate risk and ensure regulatory adherence.
  • Monitor and reduce unapplied cash through reporting, aging analysis, and trend identification, driving improved cash application efficiency.
  • Own GL and subledger reconciliations, including BAI file validation, aging analysis, uncashed checks, and unclaimed property management to maintain GL integrity.
  • Serve as a key business partner and escalation point, collaborating with cross functional teams to resolve complex financial issues.
  • Drive process improvements and automation initiatives, leveraging AI and technology to enhance efficiency and reduce manual effort and strengthen controls.

What You’ll Bring

  • Deep expertise in Accounts Receivable operations, including billing, refunds, reconciliations, and cash application.
  • Strong understanding of financial systems and tools such as SAP, bank reconciliation platforms (BAI files), and reporting databases.
  • Proven experience managing complex subledger structures and ensuring GL integrity.
  • Strong knowledge of internal controls, compliance frameworks, and regulatory requirements (including HIPAA‑related controls).
  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and resolve discrepancies.
  • Demonstrated success in driving process improvements, automation, and operational transformation.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence Finance, Operations, and external partners.
