The Chain Business Manager plays a critical support role within the National Accounts team, ensuring seamless execution of pricing strategies, new item introductions, and compliance with retailer requirements. This position manages the administrative and operational processes that enable National Account Managers to focus on strategic growth, customer relationships, and execution across key national retail accounts. Approximately 75% of this role is dedicated to Walmart s new item forms (NIF), new offer forms (NOF), and pricing maintenance, which require strong attention to detail, cross-functional coordination, and deadline management.
Key Responsibilities- Own and manage Walmart NIF, NOF, and pricing maintenance processes, representing approximately 75% of the role
- Complete and submit new item forms for retail chains, ensuring all required data (specifications, images, UPCs, pricing, and documentation) is accurate, complete, and compliant
- Coordinate with internal teams, including Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance to collect and validate information required for item setup and submissions
- Interface with distributor key account teams to ensure accurate item setup and alignment throughout the sales and launch process
- Ensure adherence to retailer‑specific requirements for pricing, promotions, and item setup, proactively monitoring submission timelines to prevent launch delays
- Partner with internal Regional Managers to support in‑store execution and selling initiatives as needed
- Utilize syndicated data, internal reporting, and distributor data to support fact‑based insights aligned with company objectives
- Provide regular status updates and reporting to National Account Managers
- Communicate progress, risks, and account performance updates to leadership
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably in business, sales, and marketing or a related field).
- Sales experience within the alcohol beverage or consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple submissions, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
- Experience working with reporting and data systems such as iDig, Nielsen, IRI, Numerator, Mintel, or similar tools
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power Point
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment
