The Role

Athena Club is looking for a Director, Walmart to lead and scale our growing Walmart US business. Reporting to the Vice President of Retail Sales, this Team Member will own the day-to-day management and growth of Athena Club’s Walmart account, serving as the primary lead responsible for driving revenue, profitability, and execution across the partnership.

This is a high-impact role with significant commercial ownership across account strategy, in-store execution, forecasting, and cross-functional leadership to accelerate Athena Club’s expansion within Walmart.

Responsibilities
  • Own the day-to-day management and growth of the Walmart business, delivering revenue, profitability, and share goals
  • Serve as the primary relationship lead with Walmart merchants, buyers, and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Develop and execute the annual Walmart Joint Business Plan in alignment with Athena Club’s national retail strategy
  • Monitor performance trends, competitive dynamics, and retailer insights to inform account strategy
  • Lead line reviews, assortment expansion, pricing, promotional planning, and key customer negotiations
  • Secure and execute in-store feature opportunities, including displays, seasonal placements, and incremental merchandising programs
  • Identify growth opportunities across new items, seasonal programs, and expanded distribution
  • Manage trade spend and promotional investments to maximize ROI and long-term account health
  • Own account-level forecasting and collaborate with planning team to ensure strong in-stock performance and healthy inventory levels
  • Partner with internal teams across Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain to ensure seamless execution and service
  • Collaborate with brokers and field teams to ensure best-in-class execution across Walmart stores
Qualifications
  • 6+ years of account leadership experience managing Walmart in a national CPG environment; beauty/personal care strongly preferred
  • Proven success driving growth through assortment, pricing, promotions, and retail execution at Walmart
  • Strong understanding of trade spend management, forecasting, and customer financial planning
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams and operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Data-driven, commercially rigorous, and highly execution-oriented
  • Strong communication skills and ability to represent Athena Club with senior Walmart stakeholders
  • Experience working with brokers and retail field teams a plus
