Summary Description

The Sales Analyst is an active participant in the sales and forecasting process. This position regularly accesses Scintilla/third-party data sources, conducts POS/inventory analysis and demand planning, and reviews and reports on relevant key performance metrics. This position works closely with Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain groups as part of a dynamic team charged with optimizing sales every day.

Duties
  • Collect, analyze, evaluate, and report POS data to increase sales productivity, direct marketing initiatives, support forecast process and assist in business planning.
  • Develop & build impactful customer specific selling stories that reflect key category business-building initiatives.
  • Create, manage and deliver weekly departmental point-of-sale reports for designated areas of responsibility.
  • Produce Ad-Hoc reports accurately and for timely distribution to both internal and external customers.
  • Deliver ad-hoc analysis with curiosity and agility, in a way that proactively uncovers business opportunities.
  • Responsible for e-commerce item setup, maintenance and business development.
  • Responsible for item setup/change forms (Supplier One & Scintilla) as well as promotional planning and analysis.
  • Strong cross functional collaboration representing the voice of the customer internally & externally, influencing strategy, product development, marketing and supply chain decisions.
  • Other duties assigned by management.
  • Periodic travel is required.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Working experience in sales analytics role.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Strong analytic skill set with the ability to provide actionable recommendations based on critical metrics.
  • High level experience using Wal-Mart Scintilla retail reporting portal
  • Experience with Wal-Mart data sources, like Scintilla, preferred
  • Strong team-work; able to effectively participate and motivate others working within a team environment; be able to provide rebuttal and suggestions when necessary; work with minimal oversight.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; able to present to all levels within the organization as well as customers.
  • Should be goal oriented, confident, outgoing, and able to succeed under pressure within a competitive environment.
  • Experienced user of Microsoft office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stoop, reach, bend, stand, walk, lift, pull, push, grasp, talk, hear, see, and lift up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision such as reading handwritten and or typed material and must have the ability to focus.
