Senior Manager, Product Development – Toys & Backyard Recreation

• Lead the creation and delivery of trend-forward seasonal Toys & Backyard Recreation assortments
• Own the end-to-end product development lifecycle from concept through execution and shelf
• Introduce new ideas, materials, and storytelling to drive member excitement, sales, and category growth
• Translate global inspiration, international trade shows, trend services, competitive benchmarking, and customer insights into seasonal themes and product directions
• Identify risks, solve complex production challenges, and ensure on-time, high-quality delivery across a high-SKU environment
• Partner cross-functionally to align materials, finishes, and details with a cohesive aesthetic vision
• Lead alignment across sourcing, merchandising, design, and insights teams
• Identify opportunities to evolve or replace legacy products and introduce radical newness
• Use performance metrics, member feedback, and trend analysis to improve product outcomes
• Mentor associates and build a high-performing team capable of fast, high-quality execution

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Design, or related field and 4 years’ experience in design, merchandising, marketing, or related area OR 6 years’ experience in design, merchandising, marketing, or related area
• Track record of delivering successful product lines in Toys, Children’s Home or Textile, or high-SKU retail environments
• Strong product development expertise, moving from concept/inspiration to commercially viable product at scale
• Sharp trend and taste level, interpreting market signals into cohesive assortments
• Experience with materials and product construction, including textiles, wood, plastics, and finishes
• Understanding of how design intent translates into production
• Ability to operate in fast-paced, complex environments while balancing multiple product lines, timelines, and stakeholders
• Cross-functional leadership and communication skills across merchandising, sourcing, and design
• Data-informed mindset using insights and performance metrics
