We are looking for a full-time, experienced and self-motivated Category Advisor, Walmart Team to join our Sales Team to work closely with Walmart merchants and modular planning teams, serving as a trusted and objective category resource, and is a strategic category expert responsible for delivering unbiased fact-based insights and recommendations that drive category growth and support Walmart merchant strategies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
:
- Synthesize POS, syndicated data, market analysis, shopper and consumer insights, as well as competitive data to identify opportunities and develop actionable recommendations across assortment, modular development, space productivity, and overall category performance that drive category growth.
- Serve as a category expert by maintaining a deep understanding of category performance, competitive dynamics, shopper behavior, market trends, and emerging opportunities.
- Proactively identify category risks, trends, and growth opportunities and develop fact-based recommendations without waiting for direction.
- Develop compelling, fact-based category stories that translate complex data into clear and actionable insights, recommendations, and business opportunities while maintaining the highest level of integrity, objectivity, and confidentiality.
- Lead category reviews and assortment optimization by evaluating item productivity, distribution, rate of sale, incrementality, market trends, competitive assortment, and space productivity.
- Develop objective assortment recommendations, including item additions, deletions, replacements, and distribution changes, to improve category performance and meet shopper needs.
- Evaluate assortment, space, pricing, merchandising, and other category levers to identify opportunities to improve category performance.
- Lead category analysis and modular development in alignment with merchant strategies and Walmart's modular relay schedule.
- Develops modular recommendations that optimize assortment, space productivity, shopability, and overall category performance.
- Create and maintain reporting and scorecards to monitor category performance, identify trends and opportunities, and support fact-based decision-making.
- Measure post-modular and category initiative performance to evaluate results, identify learnings, and recommend future improvements.
- Present category insights, opportunities, and recommendations to Walmart merchants and internal leadership in a clear, concise, and fact-based manner.
- Build trusted partnerships with Walmart merchants, modular planning teams, and other key stakeholders throughout the category review and modular development process.
- Identify opportunities to continuously improve category management processes, analytical capabilities, reporting, and decision-making.
- Maintain independence and objectivity in developing recommendations, ensuring they are grounded in data and focused on the best interests of the category and Walmart customers.
