This position is responsible for ensuring construction budgets are met, managing compliance with laws and regulations, overseeing multiple construction projects, leading a team of associates, and promoting Walmart's core values and culture within the construction and facilities management domain.

• Advises and reviews preconstruction budgets, tracks monthly and quarterly budget reports, and resolves claims with contractors and the estimating department.
• Approves contractor payments, change orders, invoices, and manages project scope and contingency.
• Monitors and enforces compliance with laws and regulations, establishes performance standards for contractors, suspends noncompliant work, and provides guidance on new or changing initiatives.
• Creates and evaluates project schedules, coordinates internal and external business units, resolves conflicts, and represents the company with municipalities and public officials.
• Manages a portfolio of onsite construction projects to minimize operational impact, communicates timelines, verifies material procurement, and ensures construction quality matches design specifications.
• Provides education and independent decision‑making on complex projects, establishes risk levels, and directs general contractors for improved delivery.
• Helps execute business plans by identifying operational needs, removing obstacles, measuring performance, and developing contingency plans.
• Provides supervision, training, mentoring, and performance evaluations for associates, fostering a team‑based environment and recognizing achievements.
• Promotes company policies, ethics, and integrity, supports the Open Door Policy and community outreach initiatives.
• Embeds Walmart culture by modeling values, building internal and external relationships, and maintaining a respectful workplace.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• 3 years of experience in construction management, construction administration, engineering, architecture, or a related area; or 5 years of experience in the same fields.

• Experience in compliance, construction, and real estate management.
• Experience managing large‑scale retail, industrial, or multi‑site construction programs as a project manager or superintendent.
• Experience using construction project‑management platforms (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, AutoCAD).
• Knowledge of procurement and contract‑management processes for construction services.
• Experience with sustainability and green‑building standards (e.g., LEED).
• Professional certifications such as OSHA 10, OSHA 30, PE, PMP, CCM, LEED AP, or equivalent.
