About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced Project Manager to support large‑scale retail construction and remodel programs for a leading big‑box grocery client. In this role, you’ll act as an extension of the client’s design and construction team, leading end‑to‑end project delivery across multiple active retail sites.
This is a hybrid role based in Bentonville, Arkansas, with periodic travel (25‑30%) to project locations. You’ll be part of a high‑performing program management team, managing multiple concurrent projects in fast‑paced, operational retail environments.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- On‑site project management of construction activities.
- Direct and coordinate the activities of the project team to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget.
- Proactively communicate project‑related issues directly with the Senior Project Manager, Project Executive, or Operations Director.
- Examine construction documentation including drawings, schedules, and scopes to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Review bid results, specifications, test and progress reports, and other project information to gain complete familiarity with the project.
- Confirm and verify permitting requirements related to the project or program.
- Directly manage and monitor project work in the field.
- Diligently manage change orders.
- Follow established standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation.
- Prepare and provide weekly status reports for projects.
- Proactively identify and solve or elevate project issues related to cost, schedule, safety, or quality.
- Represent the company in project meetings.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, potential clients, subcontractors, and vendors to help develop new opportunities.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Minimum 4‑year degree in an accredited construction‑related program or equivalent; or
- 5‑10 years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience managing retail construction projects, ideally within grocery or big‑box environments.
- Strong understanding of multi‑site program management.
- Knowledge of construction processes including pre‑construction, permitting, scheduling, and closeout.
The anticipated compensation range for the position is $105,000 to $130,000, based on a full‑time schedule, market and business conditions, and commensurate with individual education, qualifications, and experience.
