Project Manager - Commercial

What You Will Do
  • Manage entire construction projects, including planning, directing, coordinating and budgeting activities relating to construction for the Commercial Business Unit.
  • Meet job requirements and control costs by coordinating and effectively utilizing all resources needed on each project.
  • Assess scope of work and resources required to successfully complete the project.
  • Verify project estimate for completeness with a detailed review of proposal specifications, drawings and all contract documents.
  • Supervise total construction efforts to ensure the project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule, including interfacing with owners, A/E representatives, subcontractors, etc.
  • Plan, coordinate and supervise onsite functions (scheduling, engineering, material control, etc.) and provide day‑to‑day direction of onsite administrative staff.
  • Provide technical assistance such as interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment, etc., as required; oversee and review extra‑work estimating and issuance of change orders.
  • Assume responsibility for safety, quality and productivity of subcontractors as well as Caddell craft employees; monitor efficient use of materials and equipment and contractual performance of the project.
  • Administer financial tracking systems to monitor project costs and forecast remaining project cost.
  • Prepare a complete plan of execution.
  • Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
  • Foster good work relations with customers and subcontractors.
  • Assist staff in review and compliance of company policies and procedures and job responsibilities.
  • Have full responsibility and accountability for developing, implementing and executing an effective safety and health program on the project.
  • Work in a construction setting and travel required; must be able to crawl, climb, walk, reach with hands and arms, bend, kneel, crouch, stand for long periods, lift and hold in excess of 50 lbs, talk, hear and occasionally sit; withstand confined spaces and/or extreme heights; subject to hot, cold, humid and wet conditions.
  • Report to Construction Executive or Vice President.

Education & Experience

10 years’ experience in the construction industry required. Four‑year degree in engineering or construction management is required. Experience managing U.S.G. construction projects is required.

While the salary range is typically between $88,500 – $132,700 annually, applicants are encouraged to share compensation expectations as part of the application process. Caddell honors prior experience, education and qualifications of applicants to make attractive and competitive offers.
