Job Description
The remote CTE Teacher in Agricultural is a state‑certified teacher and/or an alternatively certified CRE/CTE Teacher responsible for delivering specific course content in an online environment. The teacher will provide instruction, support, and guidance, manage the learning process, and focus on students’ individual needs. Teachers monitor student progress through K12’s learning management system and work actively with students and parents to advance each student's learning and develop a plan for post‑secondary success via online tools such as Career Builder and Career Cruising.

- Appropriate and current Arkansas Department of Education Agricultural Teaching Certification
- Must reside in Arkansas

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Provide rich and engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences for students
- Commit to personalizing learning for all students
- Demonstrate a belief in all students’ ability to succeed and meet high expectations
- Differentiates instruction based on student level of mastery
- Augment course content according to prescribed policies and procedures using appropriate asynchronous and synchronous tools under guidance from principal and coach
- Maintain grade book, ensuring student academic integrity, making student placement and promotion decisions, and alerting administrators to concerns about student performance and progress
- Prepare students for high‑stakes standardized tests
- Establish and maintain positive rapport with families, regularly communicating and responding to students, learning coaches, and parents in a timely manner
- Support learning coaches and parents with student curricular and instructional issues and basic troubleshooting in a virtual classroom environment aligned with academy policies and procedures
- Maintain and effectively apply knowledge of the State, National, and Industry Specific learning standards
- Develop effective instructional tools and strategies to supplement and enhance provided curriculum
- Collaborate regularly with the school and national professional learning community
- Administer and proctor certification assessments where applicable
- Serve as an Advisor for Career & Technical Student Organization
- Support the CTE Program Coordinator/school/program in creating business and industry partnerships to help navigate work‑based learning experiences for students
- Support a project‑based learning model
- Be able to travel up to 20% of the time for face‑to‑face professional development, student testing, and/or as required by the school
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Active state teaching license
- Ability to clear required background check
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers to interpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data, using it to drive instructional decisions
- Receptive to receiving coaching regularly with administrators and teacher trainers
- Ability to embrace change and adapt to ensure excellent student outcomes
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, Power Point
- Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms
- Ability to maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs and curriculum
- Experience working with proposed age group
- Experience supporting adults and children in the use of technology
- Experience teaching in an online (virtual) and/or brick‑and‑mortar environment
- Experience with online learning platforms
