IET and Wage Career Coach/Instructor North West  Arkansas Community College (NWACC) provides quality and affordable higher education to empower lives and strengthen communities within Northwest Arkansas and surrounding areas.

The instructor is responsible for coordinating and implementing Career Education/WAGE And IET Services. The incumbent will plan, organize, and coordinate career education instruction, participate in professional development, provide guidance and direction to students, participate in program activities and initiatives, coordinate services with the Arkansas Department of Workforce Services and other WIOA partners, teach classes as needed and other duties as assigned.

This is a ten-month salaried position and reports to the Dean of Adult Education. This is a Grant Funded position.

Essential Duties:

Develop, deliver, and assess Career Education, WAGE, and IET instruction for adult education students, including curriculum development, lesson planning, instructional resources, software, and student performance monitoring

Create and deliver instruction in foundational academic skills and integrated digital, financial, and health literacy to support student success in career pathways and workforce preparation

Develop individualized learning, academic, and career training plans; provide career coaching and counseling; and assist students in identifying employment goals, career pathways, and transition opportunities into NWACC vocational training and degree programs

Coordinate and support IET program development aligned with high-demand occupations identified by workforce partners, including collaboration with the Arkansas Department of Workforce Services, WIOA partners, business and industry, and the Adult Education Advisory Committee Administer, score, and interpret student assessments; use assessment data to provide individualized instruction; and maintain accurate student records in program data management and learning management systems

Promote program awareness, recruitment, retention, and student engagement by providing career education resources, coordinating information sessions, and communicating with students, faculty, staff, school districts, referral agencies, industries, and workforce partners

Prepare required internal and external reports; participate in Adult Education, NWACC, and Workforce Services meetings; complete required professional development and program training

Additional duties may be assigned as necessary to support the goals and objectives of the department and college

Rate of pay: determined by faculty scale placement (education and years of experience)

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree Must hold a current Arkansas Teaching License Must hold or receive within one year a CSP Certification Must hold or receive within 3 years the Arkansas Adult Education Teaching Endorsement Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of adult education instruction, career pathways, workforce readiness, and integrated education and training practices

Knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, assessment practices, and instructional strategies that support diverse adult learners

Knowledge of student advising, career coaching, academic planning, and transition support for students entering workforce training or postsecondary programs

Skill in written and verbal communication, including preparing reports, correspondence, instructional materials, presentations, and program documentation
