Overview
Martin/Martin, Inc. is looking for a mid-level structural engineer to join our Investigative Engineering Group in our Bentonville, Arkansas office. Typical projects include engineering support for building renovations/repairs, concrete repair, fall protection systems, façade access systems, building envelope systems, concrete repair, expert witness work, and non-destructive testing.
This position will focus on providing engineering services for renovation, restoration, retrofit, and repair projects for existing structures. Work will include meeting with clients, developing reports, and producing engineering deliverables as defined by the particular project needs. Strong knowledge of building codes, construction standards and the ability to formulate appropriate conclusions to the conditions encountered during investigation are required skills.
Responsibilities- Coordinate and perform investigations with in-house staff and clients
- Engage with clients and contractors as primary point of contact throughout the project life cycle
- Manage and collaborate with engineering and technician staff to produce high-quality project documentation using computer design and graphics software programs
- Develop, monitor, and manage project work plans, schedules, and design budgets
- Build lasting relationships with clients through project work and business development activities
- Develop design recommendations for projects
- Assemble construction drawings, write and edit specifications, and follow project specific QA/QC plans
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum
- Registered Professional Engineer
- Completed 4 years progressive engineering experience
- Must be eligible to work for any employer in the United States, without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
- Ability to work in the Bentonville area. Relocation reimbursement may be provided, depending on the role and job function.
- Exhibits effective communication and technical skills
- Master’s degree in engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum
- Completed 6-8 years progressive engineering experience
- Followed multiple engineering projects from start of design to completion of construction
- Demonstrates a strong desire for continued professional development
- Participating member of professional and/or technical societies
This position is primarily technical in nature and requires working inside and outside the office to complete a wide range of activities. The following abilities are required:
- Move inside or outside the office and on non-ADA accessible construction sites
- Remain stationary for long periods of time
- Repetitive movement on tasks such as using a keyboard or mouse
- Carry, ascend, and descend a ladder
- Identify color
- Read, communicate, and document in English
- Determine and exchange accurate information
- Occasionally move or hold equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
- Positions self in atypical environments and small, confined spaces
The wage range for this role considers the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

This role is eligible to participate in Martin/Martin’s annual base salary increase review process. - Annual Bonus:
This role is eligible to participate in a discretionary annual bonus program.
Base salary review and increases, in addition to annual bonuses, are dependent on various factors, including a hired individual’s job-level and annual company performance.
