Position Summary

Leads Process Improvement tools and methods such as 5S, root cause analysis, Six Sigma, and time‑and‑motion studies to eliminate losses and drive performance across a Distribution Center according to the Network Process Structure and Walmart Performance System (WPS) programs.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver functional‑area results through KPI analysis and loss elimination, creating standard work to reduce process variation.
  • Assist in reviewing and responding to process improvement projects owned by area managers.
  • Apply new network One Best Way playbooks and provide input to Divisional Focused Improvement Teams on project ideation and replication opportunities.
  • Lead savings projects within the area of responsibility by removing losses from the process.
  • Support company policies, initiatives, procedures, mission, values, and ethics by developing action plans and emphasizing a culture of belonging and continuous learning.
  • Supervise, develop, and mentor associates, hiring, training, assigning duties, providing recognition, and fostering a high‑performing team.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and standards of ethics and integrity, supporting the Open Door Policy and other guidance.
  • Coordinate and oversee job‑related activities, building stakeholder relationships and ensuring accountability for achieving results.
  • Support WPS programs, projects, associate engagement, and KPI improvements within the process area.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field and 3 years’ experience in Process Improvement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and strong analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of Process or Value Stream Simulation.
  • Demonstrated project ownership resulting in sustainable, long‑term savings.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Process Improvement experience in a Total Performance Management (or related) program.
  • Six Sigma certification.
