Summary
Electrical Engineers and Electrical Designers (within our Community Sector and our Education Practice) are responsible for the design, coordination, documentation, and delivery of electrical building systems for K-12 and Higher Education environments. Depending on experience level, individuals may perform engineering calculations, prepare and review design documents, coordinate with project teams, manage tasks or projects, provide technical leadership, mentor others, and support business development activities.
All team members are expected to uphold a client‑centric mindset, demonstrate quality and integrity, and contribute to a collaborative, inclusive, and continuously learning environment.

Responsible for guiding complex and multidisciplinary electrical engineering efforts. This role provides advanced technical expertise, leads discipline teams, oversees project quality, mentors designers and engineers, resolves major design and construction challenges, and contributes to practice‑level strategy, operations, and business development.
Key Responsibilities- Lead electrical engineering design from concept through completion for complex or large‑scale projects.
- Direct or oversee the preparation of design documents, system layouts, detailed drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- Develop solutions to advanced and highly complex engineering problems, providing discipline‑wide technical guidance.
- Serve as a mentor and coach across teams and practices, including supervising less experienced designers and engineers.
- Participate in or lead staffing recommendations, training initiatives, and technical strategy development.
- Provide quality oversight, including conducting and/or issuing final quality reviews to ensure compliance with standards and best practices.
- Communicate with clients, resolve conflicts, and provide leadership in responding to technical questions or design challenges.
- Lead or support strategic business development efforts and maintain key client and partner relationships.
- Serve as Engineer of Record when assigned, ensuring technical accuracy, accountability, and adherence to professional standards.

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field (electrical or architectural, similar).
- 6+ years of relevant experience.
- K‑12 or Higher Education experience is strongly preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is strongly preferred, required for EOR’s.
- Additional technical certifications (e.g., RCDD, NICET, CPD, LEED, WELL) highly preferred.
- Advanced to expert proficiency in electrical engineering design, applicable codes and standards, Revit, Bluebeam, and construction processes.
- Demonstrated ability to lead discipline coordination and manage complex or large‑scale project scopes.
Denver – $96,800 to $145,200
