Team Leader, Public Works - Bentonville, AR OR Fayetteville, AR

Halff has an immediate opening for a Public Works Team Leader (P.E.) to work from our Bentonville or Fayetteville, AR office. The ideal candidate brings 8+ years of hands‑on, proven experience in Public Works.

This position requires strong design and project management experience and knowledge of working with local entities. It will have a large amount of autonomy in managing other professional engineers, engineers‑in‑training, and CAD designers.

• Further develop and mentor members of the Public Works Team
• Team performance (production, profitability, quality, staffing, etc.)
• Maintain and further develop client relationships throughout Northwest Arkansas including multiple cities and counties
• Identify business opportunities and lead the successful pursuit
• Directly manage projects and oversee project managers on various projects
• Work closely with other Halff leaders and manage resources to successfully work‑share across the company on multiple projects

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering and a PE license in Arkansas, or transfer within 2 months
• 8+ years of experience in utility and public works design
• AutoCAD Civil 3D experience preferred
• Good technical writing and communication skills
• Experience in project scope development, professional services fee development, and staffing projections
• Experience in producing winning project proposals as lead professional/project manager
• Strong ability to train and mentor staff
• Must be proficient in project management, administration, and supervision
• Ability to work in a team environment with multiple offices and various disciplines
