We are looking for an experienced Product Development Manager to lead product development for our Walmart business. This role is ideal for someone with strong experience working with major US retailers, particularly Walmart, and who understands the complete product development lifecycle from concept to production.
You will collaborate closely with our design, sourcing, merchandising, and overseas manufacturing teams to develop innovative, commercially successful products that meet Walmart's quality, pricing, and compliance requirements.
Experience in one or more of the following product categories is highly preferred:
- Pet Products
- Jewellery & Fashion Accessories
- Kitchenware & Household Products
- Manage the end-to-end product development process for the Walmart account.
- Work closely with Walmart buyers and internal sales teams to understand customer needs and seasonal opportunities.
- Develop innovative products that align with market trends, customer expectations, and target costs.
- Coordinate with design, sourcing, QA, merchandising, and manufacturing teams to ensure successful product launches.
- Drive product innovation while maintaining competitive pricing and quality standards.
- Manage product timelines, critical paths, and sampling schedules.
- Review product specifications, packaging, and compliance requirements.
- Resolve product development issues and ensure projects are delivered on time.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify new opportunities.
- Support customer presentations, line reviews, and business meetings.
- Bachelor's degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, Business, Merchandising, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in product development, preferably supporting Walmart or other major US retailers.
- Strong experience in Pet Products, Jewellery, Home Décor, Kitchenware, or similar consumer product categories.
- Solid understanding of sourcing, manufacturing, costing, and product development processes.
- Experience working with overseas factories, particularly in Asia, is highly desirable.
- Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Commercial mindset with strong problem‑solving abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with PLM or ERP systems is an advantage.
- Familiarity with Walmart quality, packaging, testing, and compliance requirements.
- Experience working in an international sourcing or trading environment.
- Knowledge of consumer trends within the US retail market.
