- Lead oversight and coordination of facility operations
- Support implementation of campus Sustainability Masterplan initiatives
- Track, analyze, and report energy, water, and carbon performance metrics
- Identify and quantify Energy Conservation Measures
- Support Building Performance Standards compliance and reporting
- Troubleshoot HVAC performance issues across campus buildings
- Review BAS/SCADA trends for CHW, HHW, and air systems to identify inefficiencies
- Resolve hot/cold calls through data-driven diagnostics
- Coordinate with Facilities, contractors, and commissioning agents
- Support Monitoring-Based Commissioning activities using IES or equivalent platforms
- Support functional testing, issue tracking, and corrective action verification
- Maintain commissioning documentation for LEED and internal standards
- Direct associate teams, manage budgets, enforce environmental compliance, and maintain safety and operational continuity
- Drive continuous improvement and timely, cost-effective facility enhancements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field and 2 years’ experience in facilities management, construction management, engineering, or related area OR 4 years’ experience in facilities management, construction management, engineering, or related area
- At least 2 years of experience in energy engineering, HVAC systems, and building operations
- Expertise with BAS systems and HVAC equipment, including AHUs, chillers, boilers, and pumps
- Experience with energy analysis tools and data analysis tools
- Knowledge of ASHRAE standards, commissioning practice, and sustainability frameworks
- Experience in sustainability projects and initiatives in campus environments
- Skilled in managing budgets, financial planning, and capital expenditure related to facility operations
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Experience with ESPM, LEED, and Building Performance Standards
- Familiarity with digital twin platforms, MBCx tools, and BAS/BMS expertise
- PE, CEM, LEED AP, IAC/ITAC graduates, or other energy-related certifications preferred, not required
Demonstrates expertise in facilities management, energy engineering, and HVAC systems, with a strong focus on sustainability initiatives and compliance with Building Performance Standards. Proficient in data analysis and energy performance metrics to drive continuous improvement in facility operations.
