We are seeking a meticulous and strategic Finance Controller to lead our financial control and compliance functions. As a key member of the finance team, this role will oversee accounting operations, ensure financial accuracy, uphold compliance standards, and manage financial controls. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise in accounting with strong operational execution and integrity.

This role reports directly to the Finance Director and supports the broader finance strategy by ensuring sound financial practices, regulatory compliance, and robust internal controls.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily accounting operations including GL, AR, AP, payroll, and tax.

Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing and reporting.

Maintain up-to-date and compliant financial statements in accordance with local and international accounting standards (e.g., VAS, IFRS).

Supervise and support the accounting team, ensuring high performance and compliance.

Internal Control & Compliance

Design, implement, and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets.

Ensure full compliance with local tax laws, financial regulations, and audit requirements.

Lead coordination with external auditors and manage statutory audits and tax inspections.

Maintain and regularly update financial policies and procedures.

Contracts & Documents review

Collaborate with legal and operational teams to review commercial contracts for financial and compliance implications.

Support vendor/partner onboarding from a financial governance perspective.

Drive efficiency in financial operations by improving processes, systems, and documentation.

Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across finance platforms.

Qualifications

Education & Certifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).

ACCA, CPA, or similar professional qualification (preferred).

Experience

Minimum 7 years of experience in finance and accounting, with at least 3 years in a managerial or controlling role.

Proven track record of managing accounting teams and delivering high-quality reporting.

Experience in contract review and compliance management is a strong advantage.

Skills & Attributes

Strong knowledge of VAS and familiarity with IFRS.

Deep understanding of internal control design and financial compliance.

Excellent organizational and communication skills.

High attention to detail, integrity, and confidentiality.

Ability to collaborate across departments and lead through influence.
