Director, Offsite Energy Investments

• Build and execute a global origination strategy for long-term commercial agreements and strategic partnerships
• Source and evaluate opportunities using financial and scenario analysis and risk assessment
• Develop and maintain a pipeline of energy procurement and partnership opportunities
• Structure and negotiate complex, multi-party, long-duration deals with Legal and Finance
• Develop and execute long-term commercial partnerships supporting large-scale energy projects
• Lead cross-functional execution from diligence through approvals, contracting, and ongoing performance management
• Develop strategic external relationships with developers, utilities, financiers, and advisors
• Influence market-enabling conditions through policy/regulatory engagement and industry collaboration
• Build and lead a high-performing team, set priorities, coach talent, and scale repeatable processes
• Lead Walmart's global strategy for grid-connected clean energy origination and offsite energy investments

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or related field OR 7 years' experience in Finance, Business or related area
• 2+ years of supervisory experience in the renewable energy industry
• 8+ years in deal origination, energy procurement, project development, project finance, corporate development, strategic partnerships, or related commercial roles
• Track record negotiating and closing long-term, high-value commercial agreements
• Demonstrated ability to originate opportunities, develop commercial relationships, and create transaction pipelines in competitive markets
• Strong capability in financial analysis and commercial decision‑making, including NPV/IRR, contract economics, credit, and risk frameworks
• Experience operating in regulated and/or policy‑influenced environments
• Demonstrated people leadership and ability to build teams, culture, and stakeholder alignment
• Executive‑level communication skills
• Preferred: 5+ years of experience in the energy industry leading teams focused on origination, development, and/or capital formation for renewable energy projects
• Preferred:
  Demonstrable track record of commercializing or executing investments in renewable energy projects and/or securing partnerships
• Preferred:
  Excellent written and verbal communication skills
