Position Summary
Join Walmart’s cybersecurity team as a Senior Intrusion Analyst, leveraging expertise in intrusion detection, incident response, and cyber risk management to safeguard organizational assets. This role involves analyzing complex security events, developing mitigation strategies, and collaborating with stakeholders to enhance intrusion management processes. The position requires proficiency in data analytics and security information event management tools to identify threats and drive effective incident containment and recovery.
The Senior Intrusion Analyst will also contribute to policy development and continuous improvement of security operations, ensuring alignment with industry standards and organizational objectives.
- Lead detection, analysis, and response to cyber intrusions using advanced security operations center processes and tools.
- Develop and refine standard operating procedures for intrusion management and incident response.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance cyber incident mitigation and recovery strategies.
- Conduct cyber risk assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and recommend effective risk treatment options.
- Utilize data analytics and visualization techniques to interpret security event data and generate actionable insights.
- Oversee containment and recovery efforts for security incidents, ensuring alignment with organizational policies.
- Drive continuous improvement of intrusion detection and prevention capabilities in a dynamic threat landscape.
- Extensive knowledge of intrusion detection, prevention, and cyber incident response protocols.
- Proven experience in cyber risk assessment, mitigation strategies, and security information and event management (SIEM).
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analytics tools and exploratory data analysis techniques.
- Ability to develop and implement standard operating procedures for intrusion and incident management.
- Expertise in coordinating with stakeholders to drive effective cyber incident containment and recovery.
- Familiarity with industry standards, compliance requirements, and evolving cybersecurity threats.
- Demonstrated capability to lead cyber risk management activities aligned with organizational policies.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, information systems, cybersecurity or related area and 3 years’ experience in intrusion analysis or related area at a technology, retail, or data-driven company.

- Certification in Security+, Network+, GISF, CISA, CISSP, CCSP, or GCIH.
- Master’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, information systems, cybersecurity, or related area and 1 year’s experience leading information security or cybersecurity projects.
- Background in creating inclusive digital experiences, knowledge of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility with Walmart’s accessibility standards.
