Disaster Recovery Engineer
I have a need for an engineer that has experience with disaster recovery, reviewing application design and architecture diagrams and reviewing them for the proper resiliency and out of region failover capabilities. Finding gaps in the apps they use to send to the testing team. Making sure if a server goes down they have a back-up same thing for their data center.
Work with China, Mexico, and Chile. Apps are on premise and in Cloud. Assess whether or not app has technical architecture to have high availability in another data center. Work through design, point out gaps, and markets install it. They do design and make suggestions.
Location - Bentonville!! - in office 2-3 times a week
X4: 7-10 years of DR experience
Nice to have:
Past candidates have been weak with Cloud (Azure) so more experience with that would be nice.
Nice to have development experience no coding or app design but it does help.
Prescriptive testing, gathering documentation, everything can be audited so they make sure everything is covered.
When hired, there is some travel involved.
Nice to have Large Enterprise work & international work.
