Position Summary
Our Customer Engagement Services (CES) team, formerly the Walmart Care team, is leading big changes to improve both customer experience and business outcomes. We’re using advanced technology, AI, and data to turn customer service into a key driver of impact—not just a support function. As the Data and Analytics team in CES, our mission is to turn customer interactions into actionable insights that shape strategy and deliver measurable results across the business.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager of Data Analytics to execute our data strategy and initiatives with a specific focus on Contact Operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of data analytics, business acumen, and data management, and will drive data‑driven decision‑making by transforming data into actionable insights for business owners while ensuring the highest standards of data quality and governance.
you'll do
- Data Source Identification
:
Identify suitable data sources, perform initial data quality checks, and prioritize requirements. - Understanding Business Context
:
Translate business requirements into strategic initiatives, build business cases, and drive business impact. - Data Visualization and Storytelling
:
Recommend and utilize appropriate visualization tools, generate graphical representations, and present data stories that clearly communicate insights to business leaders. - Actionable Insights
:
Transform data into actionable insights that drive decision‑making and strategic initiatives across the organization, with a specific focus on Contact and Operation Excellence. Present findings to senior leadership in a clear and compelling manner. - Exploratory Data Analysis
:
Apply statistical techniques, conduct experiments, and identify correlation and root cause to propose related solutions. - Data Quality Management
:
Develop data quality strategies, implement Data Quality Management (DQM) procedures, and lead data quality initiatives. - Collaboration
:
Work closely with cross‑functional teams, including IT, marketing, finance, and operations, to ensure alignment of data initiatives with business objectives.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in business analytics, computer science, statistics, or a related field; master’s degree preferred. - Experience:
2 years of experience in data analytics. - Skills:
- Proficiency in data analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R).
- Expertise in leveraging AI tools to enable faster and efficient analytics output.
- Expertise in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
- Strong understanding of data management and governance.
- Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for business leaders.
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, Computer Science, or related field and 2 years’ experience conducting mathematical or statistical research, analysis and modeling intelligence, corporate security, or related area OR 4 years’ experience conducting mathematical or statistical research, analysis and modeling intelligence, corporate security, or related area.
Preferred QualificationsBusiness analysis and reporting, Microsoft Office, Statistical modeling software.
