Role summary:
Join Walmart’s Information Systems Division as a Systems Administrator, Software, where you will support application performance, reliability, and continuous improvement. This role involves collaborating on code reviews, troubleshooting issues, implementing enhancements, and participating in change management processes. You will contribute to team projects by developing, testing, and documenting software solutions while ensuring alignment with business needs and compliance standards. About the team:
The Command and Control Center Team ensures continuous operation of critical business applications, maintaining system availability and reliability for customers and associates. As part of the Retail Services Team, members support essential systems across Pharmacies, Vision Centers, Auto Care, Wireless Kiosks, and HR applications. The team promptly addresses system outages, critical incidents, and escalations through close collaboration with operations and engineering groups.

Strong technical expertise in application architecture is applied to design monitoring dashboards and alerts, enhancing the ability to detect and resolve issues efficiently while supporting Walmart’s commitment to operational excellence and ethical standards.
What you'll do:

• Support Information Systemsapplicationsbyparticipatingincodereviews ,monitoringalerts,andensuringapplicationperformanceandreliability.
• Identifyandimplementimprovementstosoftwareproducts,applications,andmonitoringtools.
• Respondtouserinquiriesandtroubleshootissues,followingdefinedescalationprocedures.
• Managemajorincidentstoensurepromptandeffectiveresolution.
• Createandmaintainkeydashboardstoenhanceissuesdetectionandaccelerateresponsetimes.
• Monitorincidenttrendstoidentifypotentialmajorissuesandrespondproactivelytopreventoutages.
• Upholdcompanypolicies,ethical standards,andsupportcontinuousimprovementinitiatives.

What you'll bring:

• Experienceinleadingmajorincidentcalls,includingconfidentlyspeakingupandaskingpertinentquestionstokeepthefocusonresolvingtheissueseffectively.
• Experience with Grafana,Open Observe.
• Experience with Service Now Platform (Incident and Knowledge Management )
• Abletoidentifyincidenttrendsanddrivetoincidentstopermanentresolution.
• Knowledgeableaboutapplicationdevelopmentconceptsincludingpython.
