Position Summary:
The Senior Data Scientist will leverage advanced machine learning and optimization algorithms to develop and deploy data-driven solutions that support strategic business objectives for Finance. This role involves sourcing and validating data, designing predictive models, and ensuring scalable model deployment. The position requires proficiency in programming, statistical analysis, machine learning and data visualization to translate complex data into actionable insights. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, the Senior Data Scientist will guide technical problem-solving, mentor associates, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance business performance and operational efficiency.

Focused on transforming finance and accounting operations, the team develops applied ML/AI solutions, automation, and intelligent workflows that enhance efficiency, reduce risk, and minimize manual tasks. What You'll Do:
- Identify and source relevant business data from multiple databases and distributed systems ensuring high data quality.
- Build, train, evaluate and deploy models on large-scale retail data.
- Design, develop and evaluate agentic systems for optimizing finance operations.
- Build Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, agents, and optimized agentic routing.
- Perform prompt engineering, context management, token cost optimization, and output evaluation to improve AI solution reliability.
- Communicate technical decisions, trade-offs, and experiment results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, driving understanding and adoption of ML-driven solutions.
- Mentor junior associates in data science methodologies and best practices.
What You'll Bring:
- Deep knowledge of machine learning, optimization and data analysis techniques.
- Proficient in Python, SQL, and AI/ML frameworks, with demonstrated ability to build scalable, end-to-end AI / ML pipelines.
- Experience with deep learning modeling and libraries such as PyTorch and Tensor Flow.
- Experience with prototyping and deploying algorithms using large-scale production data.
- Expertise in data quality assessment, model validation, and deployment in production environments.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
