Mars Wrigley Confectionery is looking for a Customer Supply Chain CPFR Lead – Walmart in Bentonville, Arkansas
The Customer Supply Chain CPFR Lead
- Walmart is to ensure on-shelf in-stock excellence of Mars-Wrigley products, thereby providing our consumers with the ultimate enjoyment of our products.
The Customer Supply Chain CPFR Lead is the primary point of contact for Wal‑Mart Replenishment Manager’s and is a secondary point of contact for Wal‑Mart Buying personnel. The role is critical to developing a high quality relationship with this supply chain driven customer, and plays a vital internal role supporting sales growth and driving operational efficiencies while working collaboratively with Supply, Sales and Demand Planning.
The Customer Supply Chain CPFR Lead is responsible for supporting critical decisions and providing recommendations impacting both the customer and Mars‑Wrigley supply chain & finished goods inventory. Influencing the customer, our account team, and our internal supply teams is crucial to the effectiveness of this role. Strong analytical skills coupled with the ability to provide an influential business case will be essential to successfully gain alignment for implementing product supply recommendations.
The success of the Customer Supply Chain CPDR Lead is measured by exceeding targets on both in‑stock and product fill rate goals while delivering target return on inventory investment, supporting sales growth, accurately predicting future demand forecasts, and effectively identifying and collaboratively resolving supply chain disconnects between Mars & the customer’s supply chains. This role is located in Bentonville, Arkansas and requires 50% per month in office.
Whatare we looking for? Minimum
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, Business Management and/or related field
- 3-5 years’ experience in Supply Chain or Operations Management
- 2 years of CPG experience in Supply Chain on a customer dedicated team
- Proficient with Microsoft Office. MS Access skills
- Ability to travel (20%) as required
- Must be able to work flexible hours
- Experience with customer management within the last 12 months please elaborate on Hands‑on responsibility
- Understanding of Retail Link and GRS
- Ability to adjust, adapt, respond to, and be resourceful in the face of change to deliver business objectives
- Leads End-to-End Customer Collaboration process with a focus on service metric improvements and mutually beneficial, efficient supply chain solutions
- Must effectively influence team members to gain support for replenishment and inventory management policies that maximize product availability at store level, while minimizing inventory in the supply chain
- Owns and manages customer specific service metrics (SAMBC) and provides proactive communication and action plans to mitigate service risk
- Partners with sales team to support strategic planning and execute against growth/volume opportunities through identification and quantification of end to end supply chain savings
- Develops analysis and scorecards for communication to the customer and key cross‑functional teams to improve overall supply chain compliance and effectiveness
- Point‑person for operational execution of all modular changes
- Manages the supply chain inter‑dependencies between Sales, Demand Planning, Customer Service, Inventory Management, Operations Planning and the Customer
- Responsible for all Retail Link & GRS replenishment activities including:
- Ensure Retail Link item settings are properly maintained to ensure appropriate store level product replenishment
- Recommend CPFR policies to Walmart replenishment team
- Utilize Retail Link data & reporting capabilities to provide analytical support to cross‑functional team members
- Retail Link
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the account team, providing analytical support - Communicate impact of any Retail Link replenishment policies to all key stakeholders
- Develop and implement on‑going improvements for collaborative planning, forecast and replenishment processes
- Has responsibility for the accuracy of the customer system forecasts and their inputs into the Demand Planning process
- Provides both quantitative and qualitative feedback regarding customer activity to improve the overall forecast accuracy of the organization
