The Senior Manager, Procurement, leads the execution of strategic sourcing and category management initiatives to optimize cost efficiency and mitigate risks across complex supply chains. This role drives supplier relationship management, negotiates contracts, and applies advanced financial analysis to support informed decision-making. About the team:

The Food Packaging Procurement Team collaborates closely with sourcing partners and key internal stakeholders to execute initiatives aligned with the sourcing strategy. The team supports trusted Private Brands by ensuring manufacturing excellence, supply reliability, and sustainability. Working in partnership with sourcing vendors post-approval, the team drives value creation while delivering Every Day Low Cost and Every Day Low Price commitments. Focused on strategic sourcing, negotiation, and supplier relationship management, the team adapts to evolving business needs to optimize category performance and mitigate risks, contributing to Walmart's operational success and long-term objectives.

What you'll do:

* Lead the development and execution of category strategies to identify savings and optimize procurement performance.

* Manage supplier relationships through structured reviews, performance tracking, and risk mitigation.

* Oversee complex sourcing events, including RFx processes and financial modeling to support informed decision-making.

* Drive cross-functional collaboration to resolve procurement challenges and implement corrective actions.

* Supervise and develop procurement associates, fostering a high-performing, team-based environment.

* Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.

* Utilize data analytics to evaluate plans, forecast risks, and recommend process improvements.

What you'll bring:

* Extensive experience in procurement management, category strategy, and strategic sourcing within complex supply chains.

* Proven ability to lead negotiations and manage supplier relationships to drive cost efficiencies and mitigate risks.

* Strong financial acumen with expertise in total cost of ownership modeling, financial analysis, and business case development.

* Demonstrated skills in stakeholder management, influencing cross-functional teams, and delivering results aligned with business goals.

* Proficiency in problem-solving complex issues and implementing corrective actions in dynamic environments.

* Commitment to ethical standards, compliance, and fostering a high-performing team culture through coaching and development.
