Position Summary

Walmart’s Transportation Command Center manages the movement of goods from vendors to distribution centers, stores, and other locations. As a Logistics Load Manager, you will ensure timely and efficient deliveries, optimize routes, and support disaster relief and emergency response efforts through advanced analytics and real-time data.

Bentonville, AR. Shift: Varied. Must be willing to work any shift, including days, nights, and weekends.

• Plan and optimize loads and capacity to maximize truck utilization, reduce costs, minimize freight handling, and enhance overall transportation efficiency.
• Act as the point of contact for drivers and field transportation offices, ensuring seamless collaboration and issue resolution.
• Monitor and analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement in load planning and routing; develop and implement strategic solutions.
• Adapt plans to accommodate fluctuations in demand, supply chain disruptions, and other unforeseen challenges.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop processes and strategies that meet business goals.
• Ensure all activities comply with Walmart policies, guidelines, and relevant laws and regulations.
• Dispatch drivers by identifying those needed to meet inbound and outbound load delivery schedules, following dispatch procedures and DOT hours‑of‑service regulations.
• Maintain quality and safety standards by ensuring associates are trained on logistics policies and procedures, monitoring compliance, and providing documentation.
• Prepare, review, and analyze business reports to monitor and manage productivity.
• Identify associate, customer, or supplier concerns; consult and recommend corrective action to resolve issues.
• Implement the business plan by communicating goals, managing staffing and scheduling, and coordinating workloads to achieve facility goals.

• Minimum:
  Associate’s Degree in Business, Logistics, or related field OR 1 year of Walmart logistics experience OR 1 year of transportation experience.
• Preferred:
  Microsoft Office, Walmart Dispatch, Walmart Logistics Information Systems experience (GLS, TMS, Map Point, Map Quest, On‑Board Computer Systems, Visual Dispatch System), Bachelors degree in Business or Logistics.

• Competitive base salary ranging from  65,500.00 to  98,000.00 plus performance bonuses.
