Role summary:
The Senior Analyst, Merchandising Replenishment, plays a critical role in implementing advanced inventory strategies to align with merchandising objectives. This position involves building and calibrating forecasts, analyzing seasonal inventory flows, and developing data-driven recommendations to optimize stock levels and financial outcomes. The role requires collaboration across teams to support item-level replenishment, process standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives. The analyst leverages analytics to influence decisions, monitors key performance metrics, and ensures high-quality support to stores, contributing to efficient inventory management and the achievement of strategic business goals.
About the team:
The Omni-Channel Business Solutions Team addresses receiving challenges across Walmart Distribution Centers and Stores. The team identifies and resolves issues such as incorrect items, quantities, overstock, and understock. Collaborating with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and inventory health teams, they develop sustainable solutions to prevent recurring problems. By leveraging technology, process improvements, and data analysis, the team enhances inventory health, operational efficiency, and merchandise flow throughout the Walmart network, supporting effective inventory planning and customer demand fulfillment.
What you’ll do:

• Develop and implement complex inventory strategies by building and validating forecasts aligned with merchandising needs.
• Analyze seasonal inventory flow and customer demand to optimize replenishment and support financial objectives.
• Monitor and calibrate store-level forecasts using inventory management systems and data analysis tools.
• Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to manage item-level replenishment and resolve exceptions.
• Standardize processes by creating operating procedures, training materials, and automated tracking alerts.
• Provide expert guidance on inventory planning and performance metrics to internal and external stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and support continuous enhancements in replenishment operations.

• Proven expertise in inventory management and forecasting to support merchandising replenishment strategies.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and customer demand planning to optimize inventory flow.
• Ability to develop and implement standardized processes and training materials to ensure consistency and efficiency.
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally to align inventory plans with financial and operational goals.
• Proficiency in using office productivity software, statistical packages, and inventory management systems.
• Excellent communication skills to present key performance metrics and influence business decisions.
