Raise is currently hiring a contract team member on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.
Job OverviewWe are seeking a Senior Logistics Coordinator to join its finished lubricants (motor oil) customer team in Bentonville, Arkansas. The team serves large auto parts retailers, independent auto parts stores, wholesalers, and truckload resellers, and is adding capacity ahead of a planned system changeover. The Senior Logistics Coordinator will own replenishment, forecasting, and order and inventory support for assigned customers, working alongside account managers and the internal forecasting and S&OP team.
This is a customer-facing planning role for an analytical, independent thinker who looks for ways to improve the supply chain, not just complete tasks. The position is onsite, 40 hours per week, reports to the Customer Team Leader, and is a contract assignment with no planned conversion to a full-time employee role.
- Own supply chain support for assigned customer accounts, serving as the go-to contact for anything order, inventory, or forecast related.
- Build and manage customer forecasts and replenishment plans, using Excel to find exceptions quickly and get to the root of problems.
- Partner with account managers, the Customer Team Leader, and the internal forecasting and S&OP group to align customer demand with supply.
- Monitor inventory at warehouse and distribution center level and track inbound and outbound freight to determine when orders can be placed.
- Coordinate with the Transportation team on load timing so outbound shipments meet each customer's specific requirements.
- Identify and implement process improvements that raise forecast accuracy, reduce customer fines, and improve service levels.
- Develop tools and reports that make forecast exceptions easier to spot and resolve over time.
- Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for growth across the customer portfolio.
- Lead customer-facing meetings to review performance metrics, resolve issues, and align on future initiatives.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Logistics, and Manufacturing to deliver a seamless customer experience.
- Develop and execute supply chain strategies tailored to large strategic customers.
- Support the wider customer team by taking on daily inventory, freight, and order scheduling tasks across accounts as needed.
- Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of supply chain experience, with emphasis on strategic customer accounts.
- Hands-on experience in replenishment, demand forecasting, and CPFR (Collaborative Planning, Forecasting, and Replenishment) with retail or wholesale customers.
- Background on the planning and customer side of supply chain, beyond warehouse operations or freight scheduling alone.
- Experience in customer-facing roles and managing service-level expectations.
- Advanced Excel skills for forecasting and analysis.
- Strong analytical skills and working knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
- Track record of measurable improvements, such as better forecast accuracy or reduced customer fines, and the ability to explain how they were achieved.
- Clear, concise communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Self-starter who works independently and looks for opportunities rather than waiting for direction.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or a related field.
- Willingness to travel to support customer engagements and operational reviews.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Power BI or Tableau.
- Experience in the retail or consumer goods industry.
- Familiarity with EDI and API integration.
- Strong presentation and storytelling abilities.
- Strategic thinker who moves easily between analytical problem-solving and high-level planning.
- Skilled at prioritizing in ambiguous or fast-changing environments.
- Proactive learner with a strong drive to explore new ideas and continuously improve.
