Walton Enterprises is seeking a skilled, highly motivated, and entrepreneurial individual to join the team as a Senior Manager, Risk. About the PositionThe Senior Manager, Risk partners closely with the Director of Insurance & Risk Management to oversee diverse personal lines and commercial insurance programs with varying complexities. These include Property and Casualty lines, Valuable Articles, Yacht, Aviation, Construction, Farm and Ranch, and Management Liability products. The role also supports due diligence for new business opportunities and contributes technical expertise to strategic projects.
Whatyou will do
The position manages complex personal, commercial, and hybrid accounts while developing consultative relationships with clients, internal partners, brokers, and carriers. The Senior Manager evaluates coverage gaps, educates clients on market trends and new options, and provides leadership in developing strategic solutions that mitigate risk and align with organizational goals.
Responsibilities- Manage the development, implementation, and daily servicing of comprehensive insurance programs, including negotiation of policy terms and conditions.
- Research and evaluate industry trends, risk management practices, and safety and loss control strategies.
- Oversee budgets, forecasts, financial reports, premium allocations, audits, and retro calculations.
- Coordinate claims coverage issues, participate in claim review meetings, and analyze reserves.
- Provide consultation and technical advice to business units and external stakeholders, including lenders and property managers.
- Lead asset acquisition due diligence, analyzing risk and insurance issues, compiling underwriting data, and making recommendations.
- Establish contract standards for insurance and indemnification wording; review legal documents for compliance and competitiveness.
- Manage internal communications and strategies related to risk management programs.
- Prepare detailed policy summaries for lenders, tenants, and other third parties.
- Support development of policies, training, and procedures to strengthen risk management operations.

- 15+ years of progressive technical experience in the insurance industry, risk management, or brokerage.
- Advanced degree or insurance certifications (CPCU, ARM) preferred.
- Experience managing a personal or commercial lines portfolio equivalent to a Fortune 500 company or in excess of $10M in premium.
- Strong strategic and financial acumen with entrepreneurial vision.
- Proven analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize effectively and conduct comprehensive research and analysis.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Familiarity with advanced analytics and finance platforms.
- Expertise in internal controls and corporate finance.
- Regulatory compliance oversight.
- Demonstrates discretion, integrity, and expertise while serving as a trusted advisor to principals and colleagues.

Benefits InformationCompensation Range: $187,000 - $234,000
