Position: Services Project Manager I

Position Summary

The Project Manager I for the Services Team will work under the direction of a Sr. Project Manager on assigned projects. The primary focus of this role will be managing integration, staging, delivery and Installation of hardware products and solutions at customer locations. Responsibilities include but are not limited to planning, scheduling, executing, reporting and meeting financial targets on assigned custom services projects.

The position will require providing project management direction to both Toshiba and 3rd Party resources. This role will also require managing Change Control processes. The selected candidate should be a skilled communicator at multiple levels and with customers and be able to use experience, tools and methodologies to achieve expected project results and customer satisfaction (on‑time, within budget, within expectations).

Responsibilities
  • Develop project plans – Leads a delivery team on small to medium projects or as a segment of a larger engagement. Develops and manages project plan and resources. Review and understand project Scope, develop project plan and schedule. Create project database.
  • Project Execution – Manages task assignments and conducts team meetings. Communicates project status internally and with customer and conducts status meetings. Produces and distributes project documentation. Maintain project database and project documentation throughout the project. Monitors and controls project and manage day‑to‑day execution activities. Identify issues and tracks to resolution. Manages Change Control. Manages cost/schedule/resource variances. Responsible for managing completion of project tasks according to contract deliverables.

    Effectively manages project cost & communicates project financials accurately per the operations team.
  • Identify resource requirements. Establish project team and communicate project plan. Manages the work of TGCS project resources and subcontractor personnel. Conducts lessons learned sessions with project team.
  • Ensures client expectations are met/exceeded. Establishes client follow‑up/monitor process. Interfaces with team leadership and external teams as appropriate to complete tasks.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Areas of Experience & Preferred Skills
  • Bachelors degree with 2+ years of experience, or commensurate experience.
  • 1+ years of Project Management experience, preferably in retail industry, particularly store operations.
  • Ability to work within a project team environment where results will be based on cooperation with and/or influence of others.
  • 2+ years of experience in a project execution environment (retail environment preferred).
  • 2+ years of experience in the deployment project life cycle – equipment procurement, staging, delivery, installation and installation support.
  • 1+ years of experience using project database tools (Quick Base preferred).
  • Microsoft Office tools experience including Microsoft Project.
  • Must have history of meeting and exceeding challenging objectives.
  • Results driven with a focus on project success, revenue and costs.
  • Ability to work successfully in a diverse team environment.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong sense of urgency and driving issues to closure, with a focus on successful results. Strong work ethic.
  • Meets deadlines and produces high quality work.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize assignments.
  • Strong relationship building skills, both internal and external.
