Centerpoint Medical Center is hiring New Graduate Nurses in Independence for our HCA Nurse Residency Program. This paid year‑long program provides advanced clinical training, monthly education, preceptorship, simulation, and mentorship to transition from student nurse to registered nurse.

$5,000 relocation bonus offered for candidates living more than 50 miles from our hospital.

The Resident provides patient‑centered care, collaborates with the multidisciplinary team, and follows established nursing models. The role includes:

• Assess patients during admission and each shift, identifying and reporting changes.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, and documentation as ordered.
• Administer medications and monitor therapeutic response.
• Respond promptly to patient requests, anticipating needs.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about condition, treatment, medications, and follow‑up.

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of employment.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 1 year of employment.
• Other certifications may be required during employment.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing completed prior to start date; candidates may apply up to 8 months before graduation.
• Registered Nurse license or equivalent within 90 days of graduation per Missouri guidelines.
• No prior experience required.
• Travel may be needed for training.
