Talent Fish is casting a line for a Laboratory Assistant. This is a contract W2 role based onsite in Bentonville, AR. This is an exciting position that will support senior laboratory staff with sample processing, testing, documentation, and reporting while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
What You Bring to the Role (Ideal Experience)- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow defined test plans and datasheets
- Good understanding of laboratory information systems and general laboratory equipment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and operational instructions
- Comfort operating computer systems to input, extract, and analyze data
- Knowledge of fabric is a plus, but not required
- Ability to communicate clearly with internal teams and customers
- Willingness to follow all physical and digital security practices and codes of conduct
- Process lab samples, perform tests, and record, analyze, and explain results
- Build and adapt basic setup and test equipment for performance testing
- Perform tests using general laboratory equipment and tools
- Perform routine care and maintenance of test equipment and work areas
- Operate computer systems to input and extract readily available information and use available software
- Follow defined test plans and datasheets as directed
- Evaluate test performance and sample operation to assess test results
- Prepare charts, graphs, and reports to explain test results
- Examine test samples, read measuring instruments, and review test data with supervisors
- Examine customer samples and learn to operate basic tests for each case
- Communicate with customers during setup and operation to ensure proper evaluation
- Receive instructions from and report data to engineers and laboratory technician staff
- Record observed or calculated data on appropriate data sheets
- Develop working knowledge of job methods, instrumentation, and systems
- Integrate continuous improvement concepts into daily work
- Perform other duties as assigned
The expected salary range for this position is $13 - $16 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. This role also qualifies for comprehensive benefits such as health insurance and paid time off. Talent Fish is committed to pay transparency and equal opportunity.
