- Set up and perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures on customer products.
- Interface with customers and vendors.
- Maintain laboratory equipment.
- Set up laboratory equipment and conduct testing on customer products under an engineer’s supervision
- Responsible for maintaining the Calibration Database and scheduling calibrations as required
- Must log customer samples in and out and maintain the test sample log sheet
- Responsible for receiving and shipping of equipment and customer products
- Be capable of operating the TUV forklift
- Assist the engineering staff in lab related duties
- Perform daily and periodic verifications of test equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration and minor repairs to instrumentation.
- Assist in identifying, developing and implementing process improvements. Initiate recommendations for new equipment
- Demonstrate safe work practices in accordance with laboratory and company policies
- Perform routine housekeeping including cleaning of equipment and lab areas. Maintain, store and properly dispose of materials as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Knowledge of operation and maintenance of test equipment
- Knowledge of proper laboratory techniques and protocols
- Ability to transcribe results accurately into reports
- Have excellent communication skills and be able to work with and communicate with vendors and customers
- Associate Degree in electrical/electronic or equivalent education and/or experience
- Laboratory safety training
- 2 years related experience
- Computer literacy required including Microsoft Office and SAP applications
- Office and laboratory environments
- Work may include standing for long periods of time.
- Lifting associated with shipping and receiving, 50 lbs
- Personal Computer
- Various lab test equipment
- Little if any travel required, 5-10% or less
The salary range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
