Position Overview
The Impact Assessment and Reporting Intern will contribute to Water for Good's water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) program evaluation efforts. The Impact Assessment and Reporting Intern will gain valuable experience in data collection and validation, quantitative and qualitative data analysis, scientific report writing, and program evaluation, while collaborating with a global team.
The Impact Assessment and Reporting Intern's primary responsibilities include:
Evaluation Data Review, Cleaning, and Analysis
- Conduct daily reviews of quantitative survey data for quality assurance during program evaluation studies
Resolve data inconsistencies, maintaining a cleaned data set for analysis.
- During data collection, track survey data received against sampling frame.
- Analyze quantitative data using Excel and web-based statistical tools.
- Support monitoring and evaluation team with qualitative data analysis, if needed.
- Draft, revise, and review Water for Good evaluation reports using quantitative and qualitative data.
- Draft historical evaluation reports for external use.
- Support the development of evaluation processes in Water for Good's knowledge management system.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Passion for Water for Good's mission of transforming lives through sustainable access to safe water, improved sanitation, and hygiene in places that need it most.
- Currently enrolled in a degree program focused on Public Health, Social Sciences, Environmental Science, Statistics, International Development, Communication, or a related degree.
- A GPA of a 3.0 or above.
- Competent in basic Microsoft Excel functions.
- Good understanding of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
- Ability to learn new technology tools quickly.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Legally eligible to work in the United States; no sponsorship will be provided.
Qualifications:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
