The Momentary is a new contemporary art space that opened to the public on February 22, 2020, in downtown Bentonville, Arkansas. A satellite to Crystal Bridges, the Momentary presents visual, performing, and culinary arts. The mission of the Momentary is to champion contemporary art’s role in everyday life and explore the unfolding story of contemporary American arts in an international context by actively commissioning and exhibiting outstanding works that explore new ideas and inspire action.
PositionSummary
The FOH (Front of House) Shift Lead, Hospitality is responsible for overseeing and coordinating daily FOH operations during assigned shifts, ensuring seamless service across all roles, including Lunch Server, Dinner Server, Barista, Bartender, and Event Server. This position plays a key leadership role in maintaining service standards, supporting team members, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
The FOH Shift Lead assists in assigning tasks, addressing guest inquiries or concerns, and ensuring proper communication between FOH and BOH (Back of House) teams. They also participate in service roles as needed to support operations, whether preparing beverages, serving meals, or assisting FOH Shift Lead is a hands‑on leader who fosters a positive work environment, upholds health and safety standards, and ensures team readiness to adapt to changing guest needs.
The Bartender and Barista must be 21 years of age.
This role is key in delivering exceptional guest experiences while sharing responsibility for hospitality operations campus‑wide across multiple locations and contributing to the Museum’s mission. Your work will help create memorable moments for every guest.
Principal Responsibilities- Maintain thorough knowledge of restaurant’s hours of operation, services, menus, specials, and Hospitality first to our guests.
- Ensure cleanliness and safety in both lobby and dining areas.
- Complete all assigned opening and closing duties as required and provide accountable opening and closing duty roster and checklist completion.
- Lead FOH operations during shifts, ensuring all service roles (lunch, dinner, barista, bartender, and event servers) are coordinated effectively.
- Provide direct support by stepping into service roles as needed, including serving, bartending, or barista duties.
- Monitor and maintain service quality, ensuring prompt, courteous, and professional interactions with guests.
- Assist in training and mentoring team members, fostering a collaborative and high‑performing work environment.
- Address guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction.
- Ensure team adherence to health, safety, and sanitation regulations, as well as company policies.
- Collaborate with BOH staff to ensure smooth coordination and timely delivery of food and beverages.
- Prepare and monitor shift schedules, ensuring adequate staffing for all FOH roles.
- Support event operations by assisting in setup, service, and teardown to ensure smooth execution.
