Position Summary...

Asa Senior Merchantover Pet Services at Walmart ,youwillleadcategorystrategyandfinancialmanagementforacomplexportfolio,drivingcustomer-centricdecisionsacrossmultiplechannels.

The Pet Services Teamleadsthemerchandisingstrategybyengagingwithcustomers ,suppliers,andoperatorsacrossmultiplechannels.

Thisteamdrivescategorystrategy,pricing,andsuppliermanagementwhileoverseeingfinancialperformanceandprojectexecution.

Theyutilizedatainsightstoinformdecisionsandsupportcommunitydevelopmentandothercustomerfirstcentricplans. Theteamfosterscollaborationandcontinuousimprovementtomeetbusinessobjectivesandenhancecustomerexperience.

Withafocusonoperationalexcellenceandstrategicinitiatives,theteamensuresalignmentacrossfunctionstodelivervalueandmaintaincompetitivepositioninginthemarket.

• Developandexecutecomprehensivecategorystrategiestodrivelong-termbusinessgrowthandprofitability.
• Managesupplierrelationships,leadnegotiations,andoverseesupplierperformancetoensurealignmentwithbusinessobjectives.
• Ownpricing,promotion,andchannelstrategiestooptimizecustomerexperienceandcompetitivepositioning.
• Leadandmentorateam,managing performance,development,andengagementtoachieveoperationalexcellence.
• Analyzemarkettrends,customer behavior,andfinancialdatatoinformdecision-makingandcategoryplanning.
• Collaborate cross-functionallytosupportmerchandising,supply chain,andmarketinginitiatives.
• Driveexecutionofbusinessplans,monitorkeyperformanceindicators,andadjuststrategiesasneeded.

• Proven expertise in category and financial management, including profit and loss accountability for complex categories.
• Strong negotiation skills with experience managing supplier relationships and driving price leadership.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute category and channel strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Effective team management capabilities, including mentoring, performance evaluation, and fostering engagement.
• Proficiency in leveraging data analytics and digital tools to inform decisions and optimize merchandising strategies.
• Excellent communication and decision-making skills to influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Experience in project management and business strategy development within a retail environment.
