Are you ready to be part of a team that is changing how people make informed decisions about the products they shop for? The Desire Company matches brands with real industry experts to create product education content that drives conversion, and we are on an exciting trajectory of growth.
If you have ever imagined what it would be like to work in a startup during its growth phase, picture yourself alongside a group of passionate, intelligent, and talented people collaborating to bring truth and integrity to product reviews. We operate remotely across multiple states and foster a culture of innovation, moving swiftly and purposefully.
At the core of our company is our community of experts. Imagine working alongside Lady Gaga’s dance captain, Pink’s makeup artist, Rihanna’s backup dancer, Charlize Theron’s stylist, NFL players, top chefs, and artists — all sharing their wisdom and experience through honest product reviews and how-tos.
By partnering with professionals rather than influencers, we help people make confident choices about what they buy. We work with some of the world’s leading brands and retailers, and we are committed to making The Desire Company an exceptional place to work — a place where we value our employees and recognize the contribution each person makes to our success.
The OpportunityWe are looking for a Bentonville-based Director of Retail Partnerships to own and grow some of our most important retail relationships.
This is a set of well-established relationships with room to grow, and we are placing someone on the ground full-time to help them reach their potential. Much of that growth comes through our partners’ own retail media sellers, who are in front of their supplier communities regularly. When those sellers understand our product detail page video offering and can speak to it confidently, our content reaches brands at a scale we would not reach on our own.
A good deal of this role is about making that easy for them.
The rest is relationship ownership and program development: understanding how our partners’ organizations work, building trust across their teams, and turning good conversations into programs that get built. You will be in their buildings, at their events, and part of the local community.
This is a market where presence and credibility compound over time. We are looking for someone who wants to build something here.
How the Role Is StructuredYou will not be working alone. These relationships are supported by a dedicated account manager who owns day-to-day execution and delivery, and by a marketing and sales enablement team who will build materials alongside you.
Your focus is growth: the commercial relationships, the revenue goal, seller adoption, and the strategy for expanding into new teams, brands, and program types. The work you bring in is delivered with support — you are not executing it solo.
What You’ll Own Grow the partnerships- Carry and deliver against an annual revenue goal for the accounts, weighted toward new program growth.
- Build and manage a pipeline of new programs, expanded scopes, and renewals, with accurate forecasting.
- Identify brand- and supplier-funded programs that create incremental value for our partners and for us.
- Expand our footprint into new teams and channels: retail media, eCommerce, merchandising, member experience, in-store, events, and emerging formats.
- Work with our internal teams to develop the business cases, pricing, scopes, and go-to-market plans behind new opportunities.
- Follow shifts in our partners’ priorities, organizational structure, and advertiser needs, and provide regular updates to leadership on adoption, program performance, revenue impact, opportunities, and risks.
- Help our partners’ retail media sellers understand our offering well enough to bring it to their brands with confidence. This is one of the most important levers in the role.
- Develop training sessions, office hours, and workshops. Build the sales materials, case studies, and proof points their sellers will actually use.
- Track seller adoption — who is…
