The Beaver Watershed Alliance is seeking an Agricultural Watershed Specialist to lead implementation of agricultural conservation projects protecting water quality in the Beaver Lake watershed. This full-time position ($42,500-$50,000) focuses on landowner engagement, technical assistance, and technology transfer related to biochar, soil health, nutrient management, and conservation practices. The role involves coordinating on-farm site visits, organizing field days and workshops, developing outreach materials, and collaborating with producers, NRCS, and research partners.
Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Natural Resources, Environmental Science, or related field (or equivalent experience), working knowledge of Northwest Arkansas agricultural systems including poultry and livestock operations, understanding of conservation programs and best management practices, and strong communication skills. The position involves regular fieldwork and requires a valid driver's license.
