R-; Service Shop Repair Technician - Bentonville, AR; 2ND SHIFT

Position Summary

Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborating with managers, co‑workers, customers, and other business partners; identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carrying out tasks; communicating progress and information; determining and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities; adapting to and learning from change, difficulties, and feedback. Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans;

using the Open Door Policy; and applying these in executing business processes and practices.

• Perform minor to intermediate inspections, repairs and replacements on Walmart equipment (trailers, tractors, yard trucks, shop equipment, service vehicles). Create and process work orders, diagnose with technical and electronic equipment, assess maintenance and replacement needs, identify needed parts and solutions, and conduct repairs.
• Receive fuel drops and conduct fuel sampling, monitor drops for safety compliance, ship samples, and complete appropriate paperwork.
• Identify and perform warrantable repairs, enter accurate information into the maintenance system, create warranty tags, and process warranty claims.

• 2 years’ experience in tractor and trailer inspection and repair OR a technical school degree or certification in Heavy Duty Truck/Trailer Maintenance.
• Valid state‑issued driver's license.
• Brake inspection qualified as defined in FMCSA regulations, § 396.25.
• Vehicle inspection qualified as defined in FMCSA regulations, § 396.19.

• Microsoft Office ASE Certification.
• Transportation Driver’s License Class F or higher.
